Good night gastrotravelers!
First off all, we are very proud to present the English version (still in construction) of Gastro, Travels & co in order to reach more friends.
Taking advantage of the visit of Ana´s mother to Seville and the desire she had to taste Japanese food we went to Nishibi (c/Harinas), close to the area of the Cathedral. The kitchen of the restaurant is managed by Kosei Takakura, who has spent 10 years studing how to cook the best sushi.
We reserved by email and, though they confirmed our reservation, the waiter didn’t know about it. Anyway, it was Friday noon and there were plenty of space available.
Even though there were two kinds of menus, we didn´t take any of them because they didn´t include sushi, makis nor nigiris. As a first course we chose a vegetable tempura which included, between others, asparagus and carrots.
Our second election (it couldn’t be other way at a Japanese) was a sushi and mixed sashimi tray. The waiter asked us if we had any preference with the fish and when we answered that we hadn’t, he said us they were going to serve us the fresher they had: mackerel, salmon and tuna.
The fish is served marinated and this confers it a delicious taste. Besides, the soya sauce they serve is homemade.
To finish, we ordered nine pieces of mixed sashimi, the best choice to enjoy all the kinds of fish. The three of us agreed the mackerel was the best tasting.
If you are three persons you maybe will stay hungry with these dishes, but we had had breakfast late.
Regarding the price, we have been in other restaurants which are more affordable, but the truth is we have not had such a rich fish like in Nishibi.

Gastro, travels & co ❤
